A 4-week spellbinding experience conjured by Sara – October only

This October, the veil thins... and your inner enchantress rises. Join us for Sit for a Spell, a mystical, movement-rich chair acro choreography series where sultry shapes meet spectral vibes. Through slow-burning transitions, eerie elegance, and sharp, spell-casting accents, you’ll summon your most powerful self to the dance floor.

Each week, we’ll build a bewitched chair-based choreo piece infused with floorwork, acro-inspired transitions, and theatrical flair. You’ll learn how to safely balance, flip, slide, and slither across and around your chair—all while channeling a dark, divine energy worthy of any coven queen.

Expect moody lighting, haunting beats, and maybe a little ritual magic (yes, intention-setting is part of the spell). Dress for the séance—lace, leather, or velvet encouraged.

What’s included:
Weekly breakdown of chair acro movement & flow
Emphasis on musicality, character, and intention
Layered choreo with space for personal expression
Safe technique for mounts, leans, balances & low flips

Whether you’re new to chair work or ready to level up, this series invites you to conjure bold confidence, explore your shadowy side, and craft a performance that will leave the room spellbound.

Come sit with us. The circle is open.

Pre-requisites: This series is best suited for students with prior movement experience and comfort with foundational chair and acro technique. To ensure safety and a confident experience, we recommend the following:

  • Completion of Pole 101 or equivalent intro to pole or completion of Chair 101 or basic chair choreography experience

  • Comfortable going upside down (or willing to try!)

  • Ability to hold a plank for 30 seconds with proper form

  • Familiarity with shoulder rolls and basic floorwork transitions

This series involves strength-based chair movement, supported inversions, and dynamic transitions. If you're unsure if it’s the right fit, feel free to reach out for guidance—we’re happy to help you find your seat in the circle.

Doors will lock at the start of class. Please plan accordingly and arrive at least 10 minutes before class.

Pass Required: 4 weeks series

Recording: This class allows dance recordings!
